一、doc和docx文档有什么区别

doc是Word2007及以下版的文件扩展名，而docx是Word2007及以上版本的文件扩展名，docx版本兼容性较高，而且比doc文件所占用空间更小。

二、doc格式介绍

doc英文的全称是Document，是微软自己的一种专有文件格式。doc格式可以容纳文字格式、脚本语言等，比RTF、HTML等要多，但该格式还是属于比较封闭的格式，兼容性也较低。

三、docx格式介绍

docx是Microsoft Office2007之后Word的文件扩展名。

2007（也有介绍是2009年，我按照时间推算觉得07年更准确）这年微软将文档格式从私有协议转成了开放，所以docx是doc格式“升级版”。

它只多了个“X”但是差距太大了，他还假装自己是个文档，但实际上docx 格式的文件本质上是一个ZIP文件，是的，你没有看错。你可以尝试将docx文件修改下扩展名为zip，并且使用解压缩文件工具打开，你会发现他本来的“面貌”。

虽然在doc版本也可以，但它更像是当前docx的一个容器，docx不但所占空间更小，而且兼容性更高于doc格式的文件。

四、关于微软开放文档格式

整理资料看到大概2005前后，微软一直被要求对其文档格式进行标准化，后微软宣布将把其Word、Excel、PowerPoint文档格式作为开放标准，还计划提供工具，使老文档能够利用新的开放标准，其开放也会扩大微软领先的优势。

WPS软件doc和docx均可以正常兼容打开，闲话两句，其实我们自己的WPS也做得非常棒，在word文档模板和Excel数据使用上我感觉超过了微软office，而且还个人免费，只有高级功能才会收费。

对于有工作能力的个体，我个人是支持购买正版付费的WPS的，只是界面更清爽些就好了。
